Bandits Kill 29 In Fresh Attack On Southern Kaduna

In a recent bandit attack on Runji Village in Kaduna State’s Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, no fewer than 29 individuals were slaughtered.

Only three days had passed when eight people were killed by bandits in the Atak’Njei hamlet, also in the Zangon Kataf Local Government Area, when the incident took place at around 10 p.m. on Saturday.
Several homes in the neighborhood were set on fire by the attackers, according to Samuel Aruwan, the Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, who verified the most recent event in a statement.

He also revealed that military personnel from Nigeria engaged the robbers in a bloody battle and are still present to uphold law and order.

Meanwhile, Governor Nasir El-Rufai has condemned the killings, describing them as unacceptable and unjustifiable.

The governor condoled the families that lost their loved ones and prayed for the repose of the soul of the victims’ souls as well as the speedy recovery of the injured.
